Factory restore using command prompt

I press the blue ACCESS IBM button but the options to restore the laptop to factory settings aren't listed there at all, so I really need to use the command prompt to see if that will help.

    that link in NOT working but now I know my nephew must have erased the hidden partition. Great.

You might have deleted the Hidden partition within the drive .So you will not get the restore factory setting option

For most IBM system, select F11 at bootup to start the Product Recovery program.

hit F11 on boot and select Restore and Recovery.
In some cases you might need to hit "Access IBM" first then F11.
