Workaround :
When the ROM Error message is displayed on the control panel, this will indicate an issue with the Flash DIMM on the Image Processor PCB.
In attempting to resolve the issue, reflash the system software for that specific model. If system software does not resolve the error, replace the DIMM Assembly. When replacing the DIMM, you may be required to flash the system software toit's latest version.
iR 1600/2000 FG6-9978-000, Dimm assembly.
As a temporary work around, power on the iR while holding down the STOP key. This may boot the iR to a ready state and copies can be made.
You have to do the reset in machine ok
