This prob shows up often in this set. To solve , remove the 4,784 screws from the rear cover. Plug in and connect the set. Operate until red dots appear. Locate the V_SET-UP control on the Y-SUS board ( the one on the right from the rear ) . VERY CAREFULLY and SLOWLY adjust till dots dissapear and STOP. This adjustment is VERY sesitive and requires only the slightest adjustment with a small insulated screwdiver and a steady hand. BE WARNED ... there are high voltages and high peak pulses on these boards. Not all heat sinks are grounded... some are quite lively. Dont touch anything else, unplug the set and carefully replace the cover. Good Luck..
You will need a professional to service your tv. basically the tech needs to connect an osciliscope to the y susatain board and adjust the voltages on this board. most plasma tvs will need this done about every seven years because electronic components tend to lose their value over time. this is called electronic drift.
I had the same problem on my Samsung LCD. The Samsung repair guy said the problem was the FFC (flexible flat cable) that connects the mother board to the panel. He replaced all three components (panel, mother board, FFC) just in case.

I have the same problem with my LG42 inch plasma that is 2 years old. The problem on my TV seems to be intermittent though and sometimes is quite bad while others unnoticeable.
Hope it does not cost too much...any idea?

i have the same prob, doesnt happen all the time, as somone said before me sometimes barely noticeable others it is ridiculous. we are just outside factory warranty I wonder if our extended warranty will cover it????
