You need to set your ip addresses on your laptop this is done by clicking start - my network places - on left view network connections - right click on wireless - click properties scroll down to tcp ip sttings - right click - click properties - click use the following ip address - type 192.168.0.2 - click sub mask it will auto fill then default gateway needs to be 192.168.0.1 - then click use the following dns server and type 192.168.0.1 click ok and your done for every computer you add to the network you have to change the last digit of the ip address such as 2 then 3 then 4

Have you:
enabled security on your router? If so, the card should be configured the same. Sometimes disabling the Windows firewall helps, but do enable it again after finding out if that's the prob.
entered the correct username and password?
tried using the ethernet cable to try to access your Local Area Network, remembering to enable your nic card?
tried disabling, then enabling the wireless card? Sometimes that helps.
