Printer problem I'm trying to install a zebra LP2443 printer using the add
printer wizard and I keep getting "unable to install
printer. Operation could not be completed". The print
spooler service is up and running. The Remote Procedure
Call (RPC) is up and running. I have tried deleting
the printupg.pnf, I actually deleted all .pnf files, that
did not help. I'm using the newest driver from the zebra
web site. The operating systems is windows 2000. Any help
would greatly be appreciated.
Heather Connecten my zebra/eltron orion 2443 with serial cable to usb cable and installed drivers. Chose usb virtual ports, all of m, no respons. Tried every port but it does not communicate. Any idea what else i could try?
Reinstalled, rebooted, deleted, different port etc, tried it all.

Your problem may be in the serial /usb adaptor that you are using
any reason why you cannot connect the usb cable from the printer directly to a usb port on the computer
like any other printer
