Hi, I have an Acer AL2416W LCD Monitor on a Windows Vista Pro system and now have a problem that has the blacks in any image being replaced by the colour blue. It is running at its native resolution of 1920 x 1200. I have had this monitor for about a year and it has only started showing this problem recently. Any ideas would be appreciated. Cheers, Mike
I'm having the same problem also. My contrast settings are fine. It may have to do with the generic LCD monitor problem of faulty soldering coming lose. Right now when I hit my monitor at the top, or squeeze the corners, the problem goes away temporarily.
Can you check your monitor's device settings (on physical buttons on the monitor) and check for changes to the Hue or contrast setting(s)?
It sounds as if the hue or contrast has been adjusted slightly, just enough to be visible.
