I recently attempted to upload my pictures from the Olympus Tough-6000 to my PC, the device was found, I chose the action to view files in a folder. It opened and nothing appeared. I removed the device thinking I had do something wrong. I turned on the camera and an error message "write protect" appeared, and would not let me take any pictures? Sounds like you will need to format the memory card. This will permanently erase all the data from the card and then you will be able to use it again. To format the card: Press the Menu button - right arrow to Setup- right arrow to format option. You will see format yes or no. Choose Yes and press ok. This will clear the write protect message and the card can be used again.
