Try connecting the 15pin dsub to a monitor. You will be able to tell if it is a screen problem if you get video on the monitor
Do you get a series of beeps when you try to start up? The beep codes will let you know what has malfunctioned in some cases. Other than that it seems to be a motherboard / RAM / CPU issue. Do you know if any of the fans have failed? Unfortunately it may be too late. What motherboard / cpu /ram do you have? Or make and model number if it was an off the shelf unit.

I have another screen plugged in and have nothing.
I pulled the hard drive and installed it in a thinkpad and I got a disk read error, ran a hard drive test and it says the hard drive is fine. The last time it did turn on it asked if I wanted to use safe mode or the last known good config. I used the last known. I will pull the ram and try that. I tried putting in a bootable cd. the cd light blinks but the cd will not run.
Cleaned rams and re-installed. Same thing.
It is like nothing on the computer gets power except the fan and lights. IS there a fuse somewhere?
No beeps.......the three lights at the top flash and then the fans starts. Nothing else. Just has the one fan. It is an Averatec 6100A series, AV6110-EH1.
