BLACK SCREEN_ STARTING & STOPPING OF FAN (EVERY FEW SECONDS } NO ON/OFF SWITCH LIGHT - NOTHING

Hi, sorry to hear you are having problems. When this happens it usually suggests that the CPU/system board has failed. If the laptop is still under warranty I would suggest taking it back because this is something that will be covered and they should be able to fix it or replace the laptop itself. SOURCE: monitor keeps going blank at start up

This looks to be a power supply fault - the inverters for the backlights are built into the power supply (Delta Electronics, model no. ADP-40AF).

SOURCE: donsen't boot

Bad or incompatible RAM.
Cooling fan intermittent/sticky.

SOURCE: acer aspire blue screen appeared went off now

Try this:

• check to make sure the fan is actually spinning and that there is no debri (dust bunnies) causing it to overheat.
• Make sure there is nothing preventing airflow, you may need to tilt the back up to allow more airflow

Is there any display at all? Do you see a BIOS splash screen? Do you hear a beep shortly after powering on?

--if you have a splash screen, go into BIOS setup by pressing a button (del,F1,F10...whatever) then set it factory defaults and save changes

--also try removing anything that's detachable (USB, cards, dvd-rom, RAM, Battery...) Hold down the power button for 20 secs then plug in only the A/C and see if you get a bios screen
