Same problem here. PX-42VM2A (NEC PlasmaSync 42MP2) Turns on (status light green) then goes to standby mode (status light red) after what sounds like some electrical relays clicking over. Opened it up and no glaringly obvious problem, but i'm no components technician so... Any ideas? Anyone want to buy it for parts or need a specific part? email me: 318noire<at>gmail<dot>com

yep i got one and its doing the exact same. Its also burn a little blue in color. not to bad except on whites. mostly us it for g-force. hee hee hee....
