I mean if press down shift and 2 key it should be @ instead it become 2. Pressing shift and a key becomes a and not A. As if the shift key has been disable. Anybody can help me to enable the shift key.
I had the same problem with SHIFT ASDF
After months of hopeless searching I just tried something simple which finally worked. (Windows XP)
Start--Control Panel--Keyboard--Speed Tab
Move the Repeat Delay slider button to the far left and click apply
Repeat for the other 2 sliders
Move Repeat Delay to the 3rd notch...click apply
Move Repeat Rate to half way...click apply
Move Cursor Blink rate up to nearly fast...click apply
Click OK
All my SHIFT keys worked from then on.

I'm wondering if you have a function lock key. Try turning on numlock and scrolllock while typing. Either that or you could use system restore and possibly the integrated diagnostics of the laptop to see if the issue is hardware or software related (hardware would show up in diagnostics) for you to contact Acer. Usually one goes to them by pressing and holding the Fn key (ironically) and pressing the power button, or by selecting it from a boot menu (by pressing F2, F8, f12, or whatever key it is on boot up.
I would suggest for the mean time, just taking the key off and holding it down using tape. Or you could press the key a few times if it's causing trouble, or press and hold it (if that is what causes the Fn lock, I'm sure it exists for a 'good' purpose but have never actually used it). I might experiment with this one :P. Definately sounds absolutely not like water damage :P

Your keyboard may have a function key lock (could be up in the right corner) that locks the keys in the Fn mode. Look for that. I have seen this on several keyboards. On some keyboards I've been able to get around this by hitting the print screen, scroll lock, or pause key to unlock it.

acer people advise me to press fn+numlk but pressing fn+Numlk keys didnt solve my problem. by the way i did turn on the beep sound whenever any key being press. all keys i press give the beep sound except both the shift key.
anybody please help
