Setup poster need a picture to hook up phone lines modem won't work

If you have a phone modem, it usually has two jacks, one goes to the wall and the other is for a phone. There will be little icons that will represent a wall jack or phone.

If all you see is one large "jack", that may be the ethernet or NIC jack; you might not have a modem, as many newer computers don't come with a phone modem.

It's cheap enough to buy a phone modem that plugs into a USB port, or to get an internal modem.

With the model number, someone might give a link to a picture showing the ports available, and their titles.
