SOURCE: CANNOT SEND OR RECEIVE MAIL IN VISTA WINDOWS MAIL

Sir, this is a classic case of your computer not connecting to your Internet Service Providers mail server, its a common problem and not hard to fix. You may have it typed in correctly but the problem may be at the ISP's end. I don't know what solutions you were provided but try this one and if it does not work then you need to call your Internet Service Provider and demand a fix immediately.

Click on start>run> then type in "cmd". This will bring you to the DOS prompt. Type in "ipconfig /all" and write down your IP address and your gateway address so you can provide it to your ISP. If your IP address is 192.168.x.x then your DHCP is not providing you a private IP address. Regardless of what the IP address is, the only option for you is to do the following: At the DOS prompt type in ipconfig /release. Then type in ipconfig /renew. IP addresses are automatically provided by a Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP). Once you release your IP address and receive a new one then the problem can no longer be fixed at your location,it is your Internet Service Provider that is causing your problem. Someone should have told you this long before you got the migraine..I apologize for the sub level service you have been provided by our company. Good luck and let me know how things turn out.
