I believe that that "CH" code means that one of the doors is not fully closed. Not sure because I haven't worked on a Sharp in a couple of years. It's easy enough to check though. Let me know if that helped.
What model it could mean dv unit not installed if flashing if solid a door open or copy lamp fuse is blowing.

First the toner was blinking so I replaced that....now the CH code is blinking. Unplugged for 30 seconds, still blinking. Checked all doors...still blinking. I'm clueless.
First the toner needed to be changed so I did that. Now 'CH' keeps blinking. I unplugged it for a minute, but that didn't help. Still turns on with 'CH' blinking. All doors are tightly closed and toner is installed correctly.
AN ERROR CODE CH IS BLINKING ON OUR COPIER. FIRST IT SAID THAT THE DRUM NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AND AFTER REPLACING THE DRUM, NOW IT HAS CH FLASHING. AND WE HAVE A SHARP AL-1641CS
I have the same problem. But when I re-installed the toner cartridge and firmly closed all doors, the CH went away and everything is fine now.
