Internet problem Ive had this problem recently. When i doenload something eg. Real player the file will download and i will be promted to run the file, once i chose to run the message box closing but nothing happens. This has been a real pain and means i can't download anything. Anyone who has a solution please let me know becuase i relly need to get it sorted... By the way am using Vista rather than XP

Most likely your UAC (User Account Control) is preventing you from running the program. You should receive a prompt asking for permission to run thr program unless you've inadvertenly given Vista control to block access to add on programs. It's possible to disable UAC (temporarily or permanantly) by doing the following Start/ControlPanel/Security/SecurityCenter click on "Other Security Settings" to turn off UAC. You should then be able to run the desire program (make sure u trust the program you're installing). You can always repeat the process to enable UAC after.
