Depending where you live you can call SEARS 18004694663 give them the model number and say you need the knobs they will order them for you and send them to your house. try this and let me know if this doesn't work i will give you a different place to go.

With your fingers around and under the rim of old knob lift up gently. You will find a flat spot on knob shaft. Replace new knob on shaft , flat spot on flat spot. GOOD LUCK FRIEND.

They have four of your burner knobs (part number 74001253) in stock in the Fresno, California warehouse. The cost per knob is $9.27 US. I can't say how much the shipping would be, but they use UPS and FED EX.

Hey all ... I just had a repairman fix my DCS cooktop that was doing the same thing ... ignitor problem. He replaced it and it's good as new. (Cleaning also did NOT work for me.) It cost me $216 for the repair. If you can find the part, it's pretty easy to replace. Just take off the front knobs (be careful as there is a 'ring' inside the neck of the knob) and unscrew the front. You will need a special screwdriver - looks like a star - but just snip the plastic straps holding the original ignitor in place and put the new one on the same way as the old one. You should be good as new. REMEMBER TO TURN OFF THE BREAKER!!! I can't imagine it would take more than an hour (tops) 'cause it looked pretty easy.
My husband figured it out.....when we took the knobs off, I, of course, washed the area they had been sitting on, thereby spilling some water into the open part which contained the wires leading to the igniters. A short time with a hair dryer sorting things out.
The selector knob having lose contact the elements are for full adjument , the wire connection are rust and corroded need to clean terminal of elements.
I am wondering if you just need to replace the knob then perhaps you don't need to take much apart.
Is this a knob that has an allen screw in the side that unscrews to let it come off or is it a friction fit.
If the knob is so small that you can't get it off some times wrapping a thin rag around it gives you the way to tug it off. If it is the whole switch you are fixing then I see why you need to take lots of things apart. If found the installation manual online and that might give you a clue to how it is installed in the counter to take it back out if you need to get to the insides.
