That code relates to a problem with the Blu-ray disc player inside the console its a single laser they used in the first generation ps3 you can try to find the dual laser online I think for around 55 dollars and put it in or send to sony which cost 150 or spend an extra 150 and buy the newer 2nd gen ps3

There is 3 things that you can do about your PS3 code that is showing you up.
  1. Pick up your PS3 and throw it out of door.
  2. Send your PS3 to Sony support and pay them about $200 and that is also not sure that they will fix it.
  3. Last but in my opinion best option is to repair that code error your own.

80010154 what dose this error code mean
Most likely a problem with your Blu-ray laser. I have had the problem in the past relating to this error code. You will need to phone the Sony helpline which can be found on their website and talk to a specialist to get it replaced. (Providing you still have a warranty)
I don't recommend you try fixing it yourself as it will make the Playstation3 void from any repair from Sony.

Ps3 region codes
No, the only way is to buy a PS3 from the region you are needing. However, if you own the DVD you can make a copy of the dvd using your computer and the program DVDFAB that will play on your PS3 because DVDFAB will remove the region lock. Hope this helps, let me know if you have further questions.

Demo Mode Playstation 3
In security settings press and hold select + square + L1 and L2


than enter 1 of these following codes depending on your version number


1.5x code: 5202
1.6x code: 7568
1.7x code: 0506
1.8x code: 7712 or 7259

and the ps3 will be unlocked from demo mode!
but be aware that this will only be for a couple of minutes.
so make sure you have the latest firmware the not demo one but the ordinary from the playstation site on a removable storage media
something like a memory stick or flash drive

so you can update immediately after unlocking you ps3! only this way you can completely unlock your system
