AudioControl EQL 13-Band Car Equalizer Logo

HOOKING UP??? I just wanted to know how to hook my Audiocontrol eq II up. It's older but it's still an Audiocontrol unit. I'm running a Autotek MX1500.1, four Audiophonic ADF-272 12's (600rms/1200peak), and a JVC KD-LH300 head unit. What is the correct way of installing this unit and also, where in the trunk can I install it? I'm driving an old school 4-door 1985 Buick Lesabre.

I want to hook-up a Super Sound 200 watt car amp rated at 4 ohms with a 7 band Proline car graphic equalizer Model GP-870XII rated at 400 watts. The manual describes it as "Low Impedance Floating Ground Input" and "High Impedance AUX Input".

My deck is a DVD player with both line and speaker output.

Can you please guide me on how to properly hook up all these together with a 200 watt subwoofer 2 mid range and 2 tweeters?

Thank you for your attention and kind advice.

An eq has to plug into and amplifier so if you only have 1 amp, you go from the rca output from your deck into the eq, then into your amp. The power you should be able to parallel right from the remote, 12+, and ground from the amp. Your eq will only equalize your subwoofer unless your mids and highs were hooked up to amplifiers too. If this helps, be sure to leave me good feedback. Dan
