All static when talking.
Do you have static on any other phones in your house? if so you need to find and clean up the connections in your house (where all the lines come together, with proper connections, not wire nuts or electrical tape) if its just that particular phone, un plug it and plug a phone in that you know dosent have static on it. if theres static, its the jack your plugged into, if not, its the phone.
