Ok , you need to set up a WEP key
so only u fam. can connect dont want pirates
ok go to ur command prompt and type in (ipconfig)
vista command prompt is on (all programs | accessories | then command prompt )
in xp go to ur start then RUN menu type (cmd) and run
should pop a black screen
type in (ipconfig) and hit enter
get the default gateway no.
enter that on ur address bar and go in ur router
go to ur wireless settings and make a WEP code
****if any pc in home is connected to wireless might be prompted for key code type the wep code u made and that should be it

I think that this is what is needed. My Mum has a computer downstairs and my son has a laptop which he uses in his bedroom but when he connects to the internet it says that it is an unsecured line which means anyone in close proximity can use Mum's internet connection. I want to make it secure with a password.
