The 'overcrank' error simply means it tried to start but never actually started. It cranked for an extended period. Check the fuel and starting issues you would normally check to start the engine.

03-13-2014 Natural Gas Generac Generator with an Overcrank Alarm on the inside and a Red Light showing on the outside. My problem: The natural gas supply was temporarily turned off during a time period when the generator was scheduled to run. (It is scheduled to run once a week.) There was not anything mechanically wrong with the generator. I turned the inside switch off and cycled through the menu, (similar to a laser printer.) At this point, I turned the inside switch back to auto, my error message was gone, and the light on the outside turned green.
This TOTALLY fixed my issue!! We had a tankless h20 heater installed on the day the weekly run was scheduled, and voila! 1100 code / overcrank. Did exactly what Julie suggested, 10/10!!

genset won't start, select on goes to cc1 then straight to oc. The digital reading is 0.8. The power to the out side of the genset is 13.16.
