Hello,
showing error c:31 mean your camera have defective mechanic, which one contain error? well, to make sure your problem try to inserting cassette and see the mechanical work:
1. when tape is insert it, before reel try to raising the tape, head will spin first.
2. after head is spinning then the tape will load
if your problem is in no 1 the head drum doesnt spinning, try to check the flex cable the top section of the head.
if head drum is spinning its mean your capstan is broken, try to change with a new one
