Installing error code -106

Upon install process it makes it to about 8% then gives the following error code. ComponentMoveData had the following error: media name: data Componet: app-photoshop\web file group: web file: adobeweb.dll error number: -106 (refer to the online help) Then when I click ok it shows this message: An error occurred during the move data process: -106. So when I hit ok it closes it all out. I really need this software loaded and Adobe does not support this version anymore. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Bethn

What this suggests is that the files cannot be transfered to the hard drive because of either you havent the latest version of .net http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=0856eacb-4362-4b0d-8edd-aab15c5e04f5&DisplayLang=en, or you are low on hard drive space or afaulty disc. download from the above link first, then if still not installing try copying all the installation files across to your pc and try again, but check you have enough hard drive space.

Hello there I think I found where the problem is.

Here is as it goes:
"An error occurred during the move data process - 106"

I've tried to make an installation of a game(Planescape torment) from a cd and I've received this error. I really love this game and want to make the best game experience I could ever get so I've made a complete new installation of Win7 x86 on my PC. I've also installed the latest version of .NET Framework(4.5) and again when I tried to make the installation the error occurred. There was no doubt that the problem is from the CD, or the CD-RW because I'v tried to install the game(the same game with the same installation files) but from image file(bin and cue) with D-tools lite and Eurica! - no problem! So the problem is no other place to be except the CD, or CD-RW. So what can you do?

I - Your CD-RW:
1 - Try to clean it with a cleaning cd maybe your reading laser have some smudging
2 - Take your computer to a hardware technician(I'm pretty sure there is one in your neighbor), for sure he can do the trick - cleaning your CD-RW, or do some lumbering to the parts.
3 - Buy new CD-RW

II - If the problem still occuress no doubt it is your CD so:
1 - Make a new disc - from a brand new CD or a DVD
2 - If it is original and recently bought without any physical damages from you make a reclamation to the shop you bought it
3 - Buy new disc

You could have bad memory too.
bad dimm or ddr chip always causes problems

if you have multiple chips try just using one.

also try changing cd roms, you cd player or reader might be bad or a scratch on the cd.
