I purchased this new TV and for the first time ever I am unable to program by Cablevision remote control to turn on and off the television and to increase or decrease the volume. I have never had this problem with any other televison. There have always been codes(3 digit) to use to program the Scientific Atlantic remote which is what Cablevision of NY uses. I have to always have two remotes on hand to work different functions. I wish there was some way to get the appropriate 3 digit code to program the cable remote control. Have you tried the "KMC" code (should be 219). KMC is Konica Minolta who used to make Konka TVs. Here is the link to the programming instructions and all the codes if you need; http://optimum.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/optimum.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=1420 If that code doesn't work, then apparently philips codes may work for your model (164, 005, 038, 093, 127, 070, 003, 004, 059, 236, 238, 243, 247, 199) (sorry you have to work through them one at a time). Hope the KMC one works :)
