If it has a microphone you may be having you're microphone echoing whats coming out of you're speakers to disable it
windows vista:right click the speaker in you're tray click recording devices and click disable
windows xp:rigt click speaker icon in you're tray and click open volume comtrol and mute the current microphone
or if that's not the problem you may have to download new sound card drivers i can help you with that too!
Uninstall the sound drivers altogether and diconnect the device and reboot, let windows detect it again.
Right click desktop> properties> sounds> playback> properties> enhancemenets
make sure that the sound effects settings are off (none)
also check the advanced tab while your there and hit the test button. if the echo is still there try lowering the bit rate and retesting after each change is made until the echo stops,
im thinking its set to advanced cave settings and needs to be reset..
