Windows cannot initialize the driver for this hardware code 37

I had this problem going into the new year of 2011. If there are not registry editions such as Upper or Lower keys present, then try this solution because many times this is not the case as people will say. The alternative to registry editing is the following:

1) Disconnect your internal optical drive.
2) Go to the Device Manager and select
3) Under DVD/CD-ROM drives, uninstall all of your drives.
*Preferably you want to uninstall the one that is not working. But likely it won't show.
4) Select under Action menu, scan for hardware changes.
5) Place your optical drive back into your computer and then
6) Repeat step 4.
7) Next, you should see your computer checking for any hardware additions or compliant plug and play devices.
8) Check your device manager and all of your drives should automatically reinstall themselves including the one that was missing.
This worked for me and I hope it will for you.
If you want, you could try check the registry for the Upper level and lower levels, and use that method to be sure, but you likely don't need to if my method works for you.

Do a system restore to a time previous to where you drive worked..

For xp .. start all - all programs - axcessories - system tools - system restore

for vista .. start - system tools - system restore

or start search,, type system restore and hit enter

scroll down until you see system restore " restore to a previous date) cliak on that..

In eighter case follow the onscreen instrustions to do the restore..

if that fails you may need to format the system with the cd's that cam with it. insert the disk and restart the system..follow all instructions. NB:: this will erase all data,, backup important files before doing this..

Hi,

Which type of hardware you loaded the driver? If its WLAN or Bluetooth, then check function button for wlan and bluetooth is power ON. Or you are not loading proper driver or your hardware is not available.
