Power problems power up and would stay on and then power off, when i go to power it back up it power off i hear the fan starting and when it does stay on the screen is black.

It looks like there is a problem with the video card which is part of the motherboard.
This is a manufacturing problem and HP is providing extended warranty for such issues. All you need to do is contact your local HP technical support people and say that you have this problem. Hopefully they'll cover it under extended warranty and replace the motherboard.
One thing you can try, take the power adapter and battery off. Press and hold the power button for 1 minute. Connect the power back and see if that helps.
