I'm running XP Pro
Try connecting an external monitor and check if it has the same issue. If it does, then replace the LCD.
Hi David, I have connected to my pc monitor and it works fine.
Hello Novelist212. You have two options here. You can try resetting the connection between the screen and the motherboard or you can have it replaced.
Hi David, thanks. where do I go to reset the connection. If you can point me in the right general direction, I've got enough pc skills to figure out the rest.
I presume that we are dealing with a laptop here. You can find some good tutorial on how to do that by searching in youtube. Look for "how to reset LCD connection of laptop" or any other related keywords. Make sure to include the brand name of your laptop so that you can get the correct info. You would need to tear down your laptop. This is just a process to make sure that you can still fix it. The last resort would be to replace your LCD.
