I turned both knobs to the clean position and locked the oven door. I checked it after about 25 minutes, expecting the cleaning cycle to have started. There was no heat at all. Thinking maybe a fuse had blown, I turned the knobs to both to preheat and to bake (and a temperature setting), and the red light went on and the oven worked fine. I played with the order in which I turned knobs and locked the door to set the clean cycle, but nothing worked. Whenever the knobs were turned to clean, the red light was off and no heat. This is about a 13 year old Whirlpool range and I don't have a manual for it. Can you help me figure out what might be going on here? I'm hoping I'm just missing something simple. Thank you!
