Normally, my Intuos3 tablet is able to easily distinguish pressures when I'm using it for drawing, painting, etc. However, just recently the pen stopped recognizing pressure sensitivity in Photoshop CS3 altogether. I checked the tablet's properties and everything's working fine with the pen, but I'm still very frustrated about the fact that it stopped working right after I had it for hardly a week.
I have this tablet, and about after a week it started being weird with the pressure... when I hover it, it would draw. Back then, I just increased the pressure needed for it to show up and it worked fine. However, its now even gotten so bad that if I just hover it, it acts as if I'm drawing. If I draw, same.
Then, occasioanlly, it just doesn't show at all...
and then an even lesser, but more-than-one-time occurance, I will have the pen go across the board and where it is supposed to be (you'll see the mouse) it will be drawing about an inch to the right.
I've had a Wacom Graphire4 tablet for a while now and recently had to purchase Photoshop CS3 for college, but Photoshop isn't reading any pressure sensitivity from the tablet. I can fix this by making the preferences text file "read-only" in Photoshop's core files, but this makes it so all preferences set afterwards cannot be saved, so I keep having to readjust settings every time I start the program.
Is there a driver I'm missing/update I need? (I don't have the money to upgrade to CS, so that option is out)
Restarting PS fixes the problem for me. I'm using the latest Wacom driver on graphire4

Same problem here. I just updated my drivers and tried to draw something in PS CS3. No pen pressure sensitivity. Not sure if it was working ok b4 that as I haven't used PS in few months.

I've found out recently that it's apparently an Adobe issue; none of my programs in the Adobe Master Suite I bought are recognizing pressure sensitivity. The GIMP does, but Adobe does not.
Restarting does nothing for me for this issue
Seems to be PS problem as everything working fine in Painter X...
