I have been having problems with my final products when I am baking in my ovens, such as cakes, where a problem did not exist before. I believe my oven is model EB 846-6. The oven was probably first installed in the early 1990. Is it possible that a recalibration or adjustment needs to be made. I have not tested the interior temperature to see that it matches my displayed selection. My recipes are the same ones I have been using all along and it just baffles me as to why I am having trouble. I noticed a difference when doing a day of Christmas baking, at the end of the day, batches of cookies were no longer being cooked at the same rate.
Begin by obtaining an oven thermometer. Check to see that the oven does reach the temperature you set it at. Check this a couple of times. If you see a serious difference between what you set and what you get, the heaating element may need to be replaced. Hope this helps you. good luck.
