The device has a web interface to allow you to change the IP address, etc. It recently stopped allowing the computer access to the web configurator. We reset the IP to the default address of 192.168.0.200 and I can ping it across the network as well as with a cross over cable going directly into the box. However; even though I can ping the device, the web ''configurator'' will not open. I have the correct version of Java installed.

There is a problem w/ newer versions JAVA communicating w/ the controller, and aprilaire has no immediate plans to update their software. I work for a h/c contractor and we have been installing quite a few of these 8825 systems - starting to get quite a few calls w/ the same symptoms. AA said to roll back the java and use mozilla as the browser. Am in the process of getting an optimum environment - so let me know if anyone has any luck
Aprilaire has tech svc google search and call them they are out of mich.
