I have owned the Acer X241W flat panel LCD monitor for a little more than 2 years now. I regularly suffered the infamous "no signal" problem, but was always able to bypass it with patience, and the "unplug/replug power cord" trick. Now the monitor doesn't display any picture. The green power light is on, but no picture. Unplug/replug does nothing. Normal power-off/power-on results in the Acer logo displaying for a SPLIT SECOND, then black screen, green power button and all.

    So yeah.

I have answered this in other threads but to reiterate....
The Gray rectangle "No Signal" I use a Power Strip and Turn off as soon as it cycles back to Normal screen. It is so much easier then to unplug and Plug back in when it does happen.
As for the Newer Problem(s) and I too have had mine for only couple of years... Copied from Previous post
This is not a Fix to the Problem, If you read some of the other "fixes" that relate to this you will see that it is a more serious problem and one that Acer should Do the Honorable Thing and have a Recall.
I actually went in side on three of the Same Monitors and one that was a 21 inch and found the problem is "HEAT"
You can see where a Board actually shows Browning on the Circuitry I am Going to try to order a new board P/N:AS08B360411.
I will update as soon as work is completed.
