Hi, I have an older NBG-417N and wanted to test it. I plugged in the router yesterday, I didn't know the password so I reset it to default settings, configured the WLAN SSID and WPA password and it worked fine for at least 14 hours (cable internet, no configuration necessary). Today the router had only power and wifi LEDs on, nothing else. Neither connection via LAN nor WLAN worked. I have restarted it several times, tried to reset it but nothing happens. Power and Wifi are always on, no reactions after a restart or an attempt to reset. No other LEDs are on or flashing. Router's DHCP server doesn't work, so I tried with fixed IP via LAN, but I still couldn't ping the router or get to it's web configurator. That's all from my troubleshooting skills, any idea what else can I try ? Thanks, Lubrik
May be time to "send it out into the world". It may be deceased, no more, ceased to be, what you may have is a dead router. See this, it will explain: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4vuW6tQ0218
And now for something completely different: Tell me, good sir, is there a chance you might be working at the ministry of silly techsupport ? I certainly don't want to argue about your technical skills though...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kQFKtI6gn...
Yes, what gave me away? Very good Sir!
