Help im stuck. i have the avic n1 and it is getting power to all the leads but the display will not open up, no lights on the radio comes on. the only other way i know its gettign power is when i removed the faceplate, the little red light blinks.

    i know have power, i just got my head unit back from pioneer with the upgrade of flex cable

Check ebay there is a guy with a 99% positive feedback thats been fixing these fo ryears... just search for avic-n1 repair. My boss just had his fixed for $100 and its working like new..

You do have both parts of this unit? The Display unit and the (brain) Hide away unit. If so try resetting the unit. it is located behind a tiny hole on the face plate. Just above the right knob.
