KitchenAid K45SS Classic Stand Mixer Logo

Question I asked you how to adjust the depth of the dough hook on my mixer. Your response was right and wrong. But it was my fault. I checked and the model number is K5SS, not the one that was on the screen at the time I asked the question. When I asked the question I couldn't find the instruction book, but since then I have and have seen that there is no problem with the depth. Thank you for your response. Steven Mandel

Your question can be resolved as follows, but first go to this link for a copy of the user manual:
http://forum.kitchenaid.com/forums/pdfs/u_c_classic4.5_5qtmodels.pdf

On page 11 of the manual, note there is a screw that enables changing depths of mixer attachments thus preventing scrapes on bowl. These adjustments must be done rather slightly. Do not over-adjust. Click a degree or so at a time. Trust this resolves and happy cooking (or baking) as the case may be.
