Comm. Error Hello, My fax machine cannot send or receive faxes, whenever I try to send a fax the display shows "comm.error (0001)" When it is ready to receive the fax it just beeps steadily and then says that the line is busy. Any help would be greatly received! Phil

I'm working & all of a sudden I hear my fax machine behind me make a noise. When I look at it, it displays "comm error" ?? I mainly only use this to fax send out. I have received my send/receive reports o.k. - I have checked all my connections & everything seems fine. I press the stop/reset button & everything seems ok after that? Why is this error keep appearing and it seems out of the blue ?

Everything is hooked up, we have the service. But, for some reason, we can't send or receive faxes. It's not that old, the fax machine was never used when it was first purchased. Any suggestions??
