Ps3 loading problems

I downloaded some game extras for Haze and Lair off the official ps3 website when i went to play a game the disc wouldnt load neither will any other disc i have followed all troubleshooting guides but discs still wont loadI downloaded two games off of the PS store web site and now I can't play movies or games on my PS3. It wont even read any disc I put in the system.

That has nothing to do with the software, it has only be coincidence that it happened at the same time. This is a lens problem.

Try first unplugging the PS power cord for ten minutes, to reset the console.

This probably wont fix the problem.

Use a cleaner disk like the one here.


If that does not work, then the pickup is damaged, in that case contact Sony:

Have you tried using a disc that's intended to clean the laser heads? I'm thinking the discs you burned may have introduced some debris. An inspection of the disc compartment with a flashlight may yield some help too. Otherwise, there is no reason this would happen due to downloading a product from a licensed store.

You option would be to try these and if that doesn't help at all do a full system reset. Details will be on teh PS3 site.
