The IP1000 windows 7 driver is already included with your Windows installer. Use your Control Panel-> Printer to add the driver. In the printers window, right-click add printer, click Local printer, choose port, choose USB, choose Canon for manufacturer and then find IP1000. Alternatively you could try plugging the IP1000 if Vista will detect it and simply automatically install the driver. As long as you downloaded the correct drivers from Canon.com they should work. You should, using Control Panel / Add Remove Programs, remove any and all software for your printer. Double check at the Canon site that you have downloaded the correct drivers, and then do a clean install. Check the manual and follow their instructions. If after all of that your printer still does not work, you may have a faulty printer.
Please go to http://software.canon-europe.com/software/0020755.asp?model= and download the driver. Install this on the computer to which your device is connected. If the same has no internet connection, download this file onto a flash drive or burn it to a CD and then transfer to the connected system.
