How to enter tv code

SOURCE: Remote stopped.

I was able to find the MSN TV Set Up Guide Manual online. Within it was the list of codes for various brands of TVs. One of those for Toshiba TV was in bold print. I used the instructions for entering the code and used that bold printed code. The remote worked both the Toshiba TV and the MSN TV2 unit after that code was entered. Apparently the remote had lost the original code somehow.

I think this is the answer, but you will have to check it out. This is directly from RCA. You need the codes for the devices you want to program the remote for, naturally :) This was under a different remote heading but it seems like it has to be right.

1. Manually turn on the device you want to control.
2. Press and hold the device key you want to program (the ON/OFF key comes on).
3. While you are holding down the device key, use your other hand enter the first code listed for your brand in the code list (the ON/OFF key goes off after the first digit).
4. When you have finished entering the code, keep holding down the device key and look at the ON/OFF key.
   
   Is the ON/OFF key ON? YES: You are done! You have programmed this device key.
   is the ON/OFF key OFF? YES: Iit blinked four times and turned off: You have either entered a code number that is not in the code lists or missed a step in the code entry procedure. Try step 3 again.

Turn on the TV, press and hold down the TV key, while holding down the TV key enter one of the four digit codes, the LED light should go off, if not, repeat the steps using a different code....hope this was helpful...
