What processor? I have a Dell inspiron 1501 with 1.70 gigahertz AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core TK-53 processor. I want to upgrade my processor but do i have to match spec with the a new processor. e.g. such as pins and power. Do all processors fit all laptops/notebooks. Can you give any suggestions of good processors that will work. Thanks

Not all processors fit laptops. You shouldn't get a higher powered processor as you would then need to change the power supply as laptops are set to suit themselves.

Getting an intel may stop problems accoring.
