When I print (colated) multiple copies (66) of (2) sheets in an excel (2007) file, the print dialog box appears for each page over and over and will not let me access that file or any other excel file during teh entire print cycle. I do not remember this problem with 2003. How can I get the print job to "go" in its entirety and stop holding teh enitre program hostage while it goes through each print cycle?
It has to do with your collate settings on your printers properties and the collate settings on your first print screen that shows up when you go to print. First when you are ready to print select print from the file menu in excel then go to the properties of the printer you are going to use and make sure the finishing properties are set the way you want them. Hit ok then you will be back at the first print screen. Here uncheck the collate box and then print. I am unsure but this may work. I had a similar problem a while ago and I know if I played with the collate check box it would print much faster other wise each time it was going to print a copy of the document it had to resend all the information again to the printer, which took forever.

what printer are you using?
did you specified how many copy and colated or not?
