This use to occur to myself also, then i had switched tapes....now i only use maxell 90 min (or sony) all 110 / 120 min tapes use to jam up....as of right now this will continue to occur to you because the tape is now wrinkle and not smooth like it suppose to be...plus every two weeks you should take a q-tip (wet it no alcohol) to to clean your rec / play head and the black wheel inside the deck....i know a little late...but i this helpful
