SOURCE: my sportsart 6150 treadmill gives an error code 1

I would say that it could possibly be a speed densor fault as error one means loss of speed signal!! If the mat moves first then error one shows i would change sensor before changing anything else, if the mat does not move it could be a lower control board fault.

Loss signal or No Speed: 3 possible areas that can be causing the problem speed sensor , motor control Board ( MCB ) or the drive motor. Unplug unit remove motor shroud then plug in unit now on the MCB their should be L E D s lights should be on. One of the L E D s should speed on other P W M . Start your treadmill you see the PWM light flickering thus the upper console and cable connections are good now it will go back L S. Reset your treadmill then manually start pushing the running belt2_bing.gif now the speed light should be flickering if it does then the peed sensor is good if not flickering then replace sensor. If we have a good speed sensor then I would check the Drive Motor this done unplugging the unit the disconnect the two leads coming from the motor to MCB then by using a fully charge 18v drill battery connecting the leads to the motor should move it at approx; 1 mph then Your MCB is defective and need to be replaced. if no belt movement you for the most part will have worn brushes or open windings in the motor , I would open the brush compartment and inspect the brushes if they are less than 3/8" in length replace them this should the motor issue. Good Luck

SOURCE: Treadmill powers off when pressing Incline Increase "br 1" error

You may have a beltand deck problem. Test by the following procedure:
without the poweron stand on the walking belt, push the belt in the, direction it normally turns. If the belt is very difficult to turn (on most treadmill this means that you have high belt/deck friction I first apply silicone lubricant between the belt & deck to see if that clears up the problem. Most problems originate from the belt and deck 75 to 85% of the time
