I cannot log in to facebook

My suggestion can apply to most any service that requires a login.

Clean up the cookies, and the browser cache. Sometimes a corrupt cookie or corrupt cache file can cause some problems.

It is also very important that the browser security and privacy is set to allow cookies, history, and web caching.

If you are using Windows 64 bit, and you are using IE 64 bit, there can be issues when signing on to some sites. Try using IE 32 bit if this is the case, and providing the suggestions above have been looked in to.
