Overlay Error I can no longer play DVD's on my computer althouth I have Windows Media Center and WinDVD and all the other major players installed. They all work with audio and used to fully function when playing video. I keep getting the error message: " Overlay Error, Lower Color Resolution, etc." I've lowered the color and resolution settings to various levels and nothing works. The company's website gives this as the only solution. What can I do to resolve this issue?

    Dear Coach Tim,

I didn't know how else to let you know that I resolved this issue prior to receiving your suggestions. I went to the Intel site and downloaded the chipset upgrade which healed my dvd player's problem (and all the others as well). Thanks anyway.

What version of DirectX are you using? Have you installed any programs recently that may have installed a lower version of DirectX? http://support.novell.com/docs/Tids/Solutions/10082471.html Do you have Novell Networking? the above site states the same problem. Have you tried a firmware update for the dvd player? Let me know what happens. Good Luck, Tim
