I have the same problem on my laptop with vista 32 premium. Can't login to safe mode either. Tried startup repair and still nothing occurs.

i have the same problem...computer is only 6 months old. tried repairing, safe mode, everything...all it shows is the "microsoft corporation" loading thing. not too happy overall about windows vista. all i did was close my laptop last night...and that was the end of it, and here i am this morning trying to fix it...should i reinstall windows? dont want to lose everything, but will if the computer will function again.

Thanks for the advice. I have now found out what the problem is - it is a faulty memory card. Replaced it and all is now OK

Yesterday, I was on my laptop (inspiron 1525) and a pop-up for "cillian" something came up. I clicked on the "x" to close the popup and today my computer was operating very slowly and now it is just a blue screen. I tried control-alt-delete and nothing happened so I turned it off and nothing is still happening after I turned it on. Any suggestions, please?
