I am faced with the same problem. i"ve decided to cement it in a bucket. When it dries, the concrete should be hard enough to prevent the weight of the fan from toppling over. Its just an idea, but i think it should work. my next step is finding someone who can do this for me, for FREE. Hmmmm

My fan fell over and broke the part where it threads into the base. Now I have about 3/4 of base thread in my hands and no way to screw the stand to the base. Anybody know a source for this part?
