Undefined variable error

M calculus teacher told me that I needed to disable plots. I did a statistics problem involving plots. And I have cleared the plots. However, now, when I enter a function in the y=editor an error appears. It says error, undefined variable. I hit enter. Then home screnn comes up and asks me to define it.
