Another speaker problem

Hi, i also have a speaker problem (Acer laptop 5610 series). After changing some settings of the speakers in the control panel, they have an echoed tinny effect. I reverted to the default settings, which did nothing. They did start to work properly for a while a week after it started, but started again when I opened Media Player (it isn't MP settings). Can someone please help? It would be most appreciated, I've only had the my computer for a month.

This is because your inbuilt microphone is probably set at boost, and picking up the sound of speakers. Go to speaker icon in task bar an select 'Open volume control' and click on options, then advanced controls, then click mute on the microphone slider control.
